The Elective and exchange program in Department of Neurosurgery and Neurology, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation centre at Annapurna Hospital as a medical student for either a sub-internship or a clinical elective in Neurosurgery and Neurology is now recently started. So if any of the students are interested in working with us can contact us.
In order to facilitate your experience with us, here is a brief introduction to the organization of our clinical activities.
It is a 50 bed small setup hospital dedicated mainly to neurosciences. We see about 100 neurosciences patients a day in a outpatient clinic and perform 800 neuro-related surgeries and 200 other surgeries a year. These include Vascular/Endovascular, Microscopic, Endoscopic, Functional, Tumor, Spine and Emergency Surgeries . We deal more than 1000 Neurological Cases annually. Each of these services is led by a Residents, Neurosurgeons and Neurologists. We also have increasing case of other surgeries like orthopedics, general surgeries and radio-intravention. It is going into a bigger setup as general hospital.
Visiting medical students may also rotate at Associate hospitals outside the Kathmandu Valley which is associated with our institute at Gorkha, Pokhara and Nepalgunj.
While on each service, the visiting medical student will participate in conferences, rounds, operating rooms, and outpatient clinics.

1. Working days 6 days a week
2. Working hour 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
3. You should not be absent from the institute more than 7 days in a row.
1. Two copies of recent photograph.
2. Letter from your Teacher, College or university.
3. Copy of Student’s ID card

Upon the payment of fee institute will provide you with a recite, elective program and a letter of your attendance in the institute.
1. Initial pick up from the airport
2. Help set you up in the staying place
3. An elective student ID card
4. Access to entry to department of your choice
5. Attend OT, ICU, CME, OPD, Rounds and other educational activities.
We do not provide food or lodging facilities however we can facilitate
you to find an appropriate place upon your request.
